Time Machine + ZFS

Hi guys,

So I'm aware that Only HFS+ volumes can be used as Time Machine
backups, so I've been trying to create an AFP server on localhost to
"share" my ZFS partition to myself so I can use it for backups.
However, Lion refuses to connect, saying "This file server is
available on your computer. Access the volumes and files locally."
Has anyone gotten Time Machine working with a ZFS partition? What was
your method? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried a DiskImage on the ZFS file system, and backed up TimeMachine to it? This should work.
