We have now set the release date for Zenphoto 1.2.7. It will be December 1, 2009.
That is 6 weeks from now. Implementation freeze will be 17 November. Please begin your efforts of translating Zenphoto so that we will be able to include your translation with the release. As before, Please update the version# of your translation when it is complete for Zenphoto 1.2.7 (but not prior to 17 November).
Stephen,
To be clear, do you recommend working on translations with current
builds, and then begin posting them on the 17th?
And then when is the deadline for including the translation in the
release, November 30?

We change quite some translation strings with every release so now
working on 1.2.6 will lead to some unnessary double work. So yes, we
recommend to work always with the nightly/svn after an official release.
Until November 17th we will still change strings to translate as
necessary. Afterwards you have the chance to finish/polish your
translation and we only will change strings anymore if really
required by big bugs discovered.
November 30th (we release on US East Coast time) will be the deadline
for inclusion of translations in the release package.
