Salaam,

We are happy to announce availability of Zekr 0.7.0 beta 2. This is
the second (and probably the last) beta release in 0.7.0 branch. God
willing, we will have the final 0.7.0 before Ramadan. We have many
changes and new features as well as bug fixes in this version. Here is
a short list of new features introduced in this release:

* Search (basic and advanced) through Quran translations, supporting
customizable analyzers and localized text replace patterns for
searching in different languages;
* Quran root and stem database, supporting search through Quran roots,
and sorting results based on relevance, aya size, revelation order, or
natural order;
* Support for a wide range of different paging modes: juz-by-juz,
sura-by-sura, hizb quarter-by-hizb quarter, fixed aya count, and
custom (Uthman Taha for example).

Regards,
Mohsen.

PS. 1. This release was actually available by Aug. 4. The reason this
release was postponed by about 3 weeks is that we were waiting for a
permission for some resources used in the software for the first time.

PS. 2. Debian and Mac .dmg package will be available soon inshaAllah.

Al-Salam Alekom,

I'm happy about new announcement and I'm wondering when I can update
Arabic language file?

Note:
In the last release I forgot to update Arabic language file, so I think
it's important to update the file before next release.

Right now ;)
Make a diff between arabic.xml and english.xml (available in
<zekr>/res/lang), and add all the new terms to arabic.xml. Please
upload the new language pack on group file section.

Thanks,
Mohsen.

Salaam,

Make options.browser.useMozilla = false in
~/.zekr/config/config.properties, and follow the instructions here:
http://zekr.org/wiki/Installation#Other_Linux_distributions to install
a clean Mozilla. Export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME to where the new Mozilla
it's installed, and check if Zekr works.

Mohsen.
