Hi,

I've installed the latest version (0.6.6) (clean install:
removed .zekr directory too)

The flashplayer just doesn't show up so. I had the same problem with
version 0.6.5 The other parts work perfectly, just no audio.

I do have the flashplayer installed (9.0.0.48) and other sites work,
like youtube and so on. If I try to open the player.swf file directly
in firefox, I just get a waiting sort of animated symbol.

zekr.log doesn't have any errors. How can I help in debugging it.

I do have the unstable version of debian installed.

Can you watch movies on www.youtube.com?

Run the following command:
dpkg --get-selections > MySelection
and send MySelection to us.
Besides please run the following command and let us know the result:
uname -a

Mohammad

Salaam,

I'm on debian testing and I have:

ii flashplugin-nonfree
9.0.48.0.2 Adobe Flash Player plugin installer

Before I was using gnash which was working well.

Greetings,

Johan

I have the same version of flashplayer plugin. It doesn't work. I've
also tried versions of flashplugin from experimental and from debian-
multimedia. None of the work.

There is no error in zekr.log pertaining to this. Is it possible to
enable more verbose logging for zekr.

Do you have xullrunner or firefox-dev packages? Once I had problems
with flash mp3 player with one (or both) of these packages.

No :)

No error can be detected regarding flash plugin, since this is
completely handled at the browser level.

Try to open a generated HTML file from ~/.zekr/cache/mixed/*.html
inside your Firefox, and tell us if mp3 player is shown or not.

If I look at the cached file when zekr is closed, I loose all
stylesheet. That now seems obvious as you serve everything through
127.0.0.1

If zekr is opened, and I open the cached page in firefox, it looks
beautiful, and the flashplayer works, and I can listen to the audio.
BUT within zekr, there isn't any flashplayer.

Thanks for the help.

Also, if I open the cached file in any other browser, I can't see the
player. It's visible only in firefox.

How about any of these packages:
1. xullrunner
2. firefox-dev
3. mozilla-dev

Do you have any?

xulrunner : no

Debian unstable doesn't have the other two packages: so no to all.

also, the equivalent to mozilla-dev, i.e. iceape-dev is also not
installed

Thanks everyone. I've solved the problem. Zekr seems to be using the
libraries installed at /usr/lib/xulrunner and not the firefox
libraries. On my machine Xulrunner is not installed but libxul is as
its a dependency of zekr.

copying the flashplayer plugins from the firefox libraries to the
xulrunner library solves the problem.

Waqar, can you tell me what was the libraries needed, and where you copied them?

The folder location is /usr/lib/xulrunner/plugins

The files required are flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so

I made a link to the files in /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/ and that
solved the problem in debian.

Note: the same symbolic links are made in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
and /usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins/ and /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/
