Hello,
I am running XP with Service pack 2 installed and the latest patches. I am not having the issue within 0.9.2.0 thus the reason I switched back to it. I can reinstall the new version and see what happens. What I can also do is try to get a screen video of the issue.

which OS are you running?
is there a dummy file you can create in 0.9.2.0 which shows this problem? If yes, can you send it to me for debugging?

all the CSV files I exported from 9.2.0 ot the last version.

Yes, there are no file associations. I am not exactly sure how to do this in a cross platform way.

But in the worst case, I can provide support in MMEX to provide the path of the file in the command line.
Say, mmex path_to_file_name.db will open that db

Something to be considered for a future release.

Hmm, I upgraded to latest version of the MS compiler and it looks like that does not support Win 98.
I will have to compile and release MMEX again on Win98.

The thing is that the previously opened db will get opened first even if you
issue a command like "mmex.sh /path_to_whatever_db"
If you want to keep them separate you could have a couple of symlinks
in /.mmex to speed up the process, but maybe you don't want that, do you?
Just in case you wanted, open a terminal and just do:

I can confirm: I'm actually and almost daily opening my mmex accounts
db under windows (xp) and linux (ubuntu 8.04) and it works fine! In
both systems I have the last release and, since I started to use it,
I've worked this way without problems.

It should be possible. But which versions were you running? I wonder if there is a version mismatch.
Did you try a sample db created fresh and then did you try opening it and you have the same issue?

I tried opening a MMEX file originally created in the windows version
on a computer running Ubuntu Linux, but it would crash the program
every time. Is it in fact possible to open a windows-created MMEX file
in linux? I would love to know before I install Linux on my main
computer next week. Thanks!
