It may be simply a resource issue. Windows 8 Pro uses up a lot of valuable real estate on a Tablet. Without knowing the specs of your Tablet it's difficult to know for sure, but using a USB stick or Memory card can release some resources that would otherwise fall to your existing RAM and internal drive to use.
