I've been developing the SimplePie RSS/Atom library for PHP since July
2004. We've really been focused on standards-compliance, while still
balancing the needs of our users (i.e. being able to parse broken
feeds as well as fixed feeds). If you've ever used MagpieRSS to parse
feeds, SimplePie is waaaaaaay better if I may say so myself. With our
1.0 release over the summer, we introduced more media-centric features
such as integrated support for the iTunes RSS and Media RSS
specifications. Lately, I've been working on a module that adds
support for Gdata namespaces as well.
