FW: Stop this filtering

Dear All,

 

There are pro's and con's of the fact that moderators have been introduced into this discussion group. As you are aware, this is a forum for youth like you and members of the community that will be the leaders of the community, we welcome the discussions. However, as the group is open to all, there were email containing porn sent out and as such, we have decided to moderate the discussions.

 

There are 5 moderators currently, the list was sent out to all of you and it is our responsibility to keep the discussions related to the growth of the youth leaders. There was some members who were upset that we did not allow the discussions of who should be the next jathedar to happen on this YL group and the reason is simple, there was a forum elsewhere that was doing that.

 

The filtering will be only for hate-mails, porn, gossip etc. All healthy discussions are encouraged and will not be filtered.

 

So please feel free to continue the sewa of Guru Nanak.

 It looks like the email I sent yesterday has been filtered by you. You have not given me any reason whatsoever to do that. Stop acting like the government of this country who nearly got over thrown recently. We are a bunch of matured youths who can discuss about anything we want, we do not need you to guide us. Since when you had the power to decide what can be discussed here and cannot be discussed. You all have made a promise that only SPAM will be filtered and nothing else, so what is this now??

There reason the e-group was created was so that everyone of us can keep in touch after samelan and discuss anything that is deemed necessary. We are youths and what we discuss among ourself . I see no reason to stop us from talking! Are we still in the old age where we cant speak against some issues. We have now matured as a society, so please mature!

hello all..

it would be appropriate and mature if reasons are given personally to the person should the person's email gets filtered or "censored"...and also if emails get filtered one too many it wont be good as the person might take the matter to another group or what..if that happens its not gonna be a good thing.
