chosen to explore the causes and consequences of ties that bind
throughout Africa in its 2008 meeting in St Louis, Missouri. What are
the issues, commonalities, conditions that unite people across
culture, nationality, religion, language, etc. within the African
context? How have these ties been used to effect change within and
outside the continent? Scholars and practitioners from all disciplines

Bind: Uniting Africans" in a collegial setting. Possible
