UAV's in PA

I just joined your group hoping to become involved in the local DIY UAV community specifically Autonomous Helicopters. 

What types of activities do you have planned, what is it you guys do? Do any of you have experience with helicopters in this regard?

Hi Josh,

 

Welcome to the group.  Right now, the group is just you and me!  I'm assuming you found this group through the DIY Drones web site, but if not, that's the place to start to see what this activity is all about.  At the moment, I'm not aware of anyone in this immediate area actually flying an autonomous model aircraft.  I am working on one right now, but it will be a while before it's ready to fly.  Mine will be an airplane, but there are at least some people out there doing this with helicopters and quads.

 

Let me know if you aren't familiar with DIY Drones.  If not, I'll fill you in on where things stand with this activity as best I can.

 

Regarding future plans, I hope to find some like-minded folks in this area and get together once in a while to compare projects, share ideas and go fly!
