I'll be there to beat the idea of a through-hole-soldering workshop out of you all with hammers (this does not constitute a hammering workshop).  That said, I do have a metric shedload of soldering to do, having got a LoLshield kit at Maker Faire, and met its designer Jimmie P Rodgers.

We know how to solder through-hole already, so it does nothing to help transfer skills within the group and could only be applicable to people outside the group, who are unlikely to be much interested (if they are, they could have found us already).  I am MUCH more interested in INTERNAL knowledge transfer of useful skills BETWEEN us, particularly since we at least know that we're likely to turn up.
