Multiple databases?

I've been tooling around with the Yojimbo demo, and I'm finding that I
like a lot of the features and capabilities of the application. But is
there any way to create multiple, separate Yujimbo databases rather
than one single database?

My main purpose for looking into Yojimbo is to organize a particular
project, but the multiple features are so intriguing that I would love
to be able to use the app for this one project as well as everyday
life miscellany. But I'm rather terrified by the prospect of trusting
that a single ginormous file will be able to hold both work and life
details without failing or becoming corrupted. My work pdfs and web
archives won't ever overlap in purpose, function, or tags with my
personal recipe files and music interests, and I would feel much less
paranoid of their safety with smaller database files.

Your thoughts are much appreciated. Thank you.

Yojimbo does not support multiple databases. If you want a per-project
database, you may want to take a look at Eagle Filer which does not
store data in a monolithic database and allows you to use separate
libraries for each project. I use Yj for miscellaneous data such as
passwords, etc. and Eagle Filer for project-specific data. Not as
elegant as a single app but I find this works better than sticking
everything in Yj.

I wonder if you could use rooSwitch (http://roobasoft.com/rooSwitch/) to make multiple databases in Yojimbo. I haven't tried it with Yojimbo, but I use it with Delicious Library, iWeb, and iPhoto, all of which don't support more than one database. It works great.

You probably could but ONLY if you do not use .Mac syncing. Otherwise
very bad things could happen. BareBones has previously warned about
using rooSwitch on this list because it would cause havoc with .Mac
syncing.
