I brought Yojimbo because I wanted to store scripts like applescripts
and ruby scripts.

Was wondering if using applescript I can change the color of words,
digits or patterns in the yojimbo notes.
If yojimbo and BBEdit are by the same company, how come BBEdit
functions are not available in yojimbo notes?

It's two different products doing two different things, one is a
database (of a kind), the other is a text editor.

In this special case BBEdit handles plain text files while
Yojimbo uses Rich Text Files (which contains colors etc, text
files doesn't contain this info).

If you want to get syntax colored code from BBEdit and paste it
into Yojimbo you can use the "Copy as Styled Text" command in BBEdit.

As for changing colors within Yojimbo using Applescript ...
perhaps it can be done but I suspect it's easier to try to get
the correct syntax coloring of the text you paste in.

You might be better off with a product specifically targeted at code:
