Computer to Computer Sync not working

Hi,

I have two computers (iMac and MacBookPro) both are running the
latest versions of Yojimbo and OS X. When I set it up to sync
through .me I get nothing. I read through the FAQs and the forums and
tried the suggestions there, but still nothing.

Can anyone figure out how to get these two machines to sync?

I have been working with support since August 2008 on this issue
(support case 113877).

The responses have not been very good, but after totally turning off
syncing, removing the BBEdit folder on my iDisk and turning on one
machine, leaving it for a week or so and then turning on the other, it
has synced almost all stuff. One or two files did not sync to the new
machine. Fies I then tried to get to sync back have not worked.

I am less than impressed with the syncing and, in this case only, with
BBEdits support.

I will manually copy the stuff from now on.

My advise, give up and do it manually.

Arrgh, my apologies. I have currently been having trouble with BBEdit
sync, not Yojimbo. I was quite certain I responded to a BBEdit post,
not a Yojimbo post. I was wrong. Must be getting old.

I did have problems syncing any delta over 500K with Yojimbo but I
think that was fixed by 10.5.(4?5?).

Again, apologies for posting to the wrong group.

I am still frustrated by the lack of response on the BBEdit front,
although I did get an email from support this morning, so maybe I will
have one more go at getting it working.

To be fair, given the long and tortured history of sync problems with
Yojimbo, it's become fairly clear that Apple's implementation sucks
rocks, and that BBEdit is probably not immune to any related problems.
I think it's probably also clear that BB's engineers have done pretty
much everything they can to get it to work properly, with reasonable
success, although there are still a number of people who experience
problems.

I, for example, was synching merrily along for years until just a
couple of weeks ago when I added a hefty chunk of data to one of my
Yojimbo databases, and promptly broke everything. I'm still trying to
recover from that.

Do your other sync'ed items (iCal, Address Book, etc.) work normally?
Have you checked the Sync log items in the Console?

I sync Yojimbo between 2 Macs using my MobileMe account, and I must
say I has worked without a hitch in both directions, so there is
reason to hope!
