We cordially invite you to join us in Providence, RI for the ninth
annual
Rhode Island All-Day Sacred Harp Singing
Saturday April 14, 2012
10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Potluck Dinner on the Grounds at 12:30 p.m.
This this year, as last year, the singing is in a quiet neighborhood
in Providence:
Providence Friends Meeting House
99 Morris Avenue (corner of Olney Street)
Providence, RI 02906
The Meeting House is located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of
parking and easy access off the highway. Direction and info below.
Driving directions from I-95 (coming south from Boston):
Take exit 24 (Branch Ave.) and go left at top of ramp onto Branch Ave.
At traffic light turn right onto North Main St.
At the third light on Main (the one immediately past the Whole Foods
shopping center on the left) turn left onto Olney and head up the
hill. Stay on Olney through the intersection with Hope St.; the
meeting house is one block past that at the corner of Morris Ave.
From I-95 (coming north) the same directions will work, except go
right off the exit ramp of 95 onto Branch Ave.
If you're coming south on 146, take the Branch Ave exit, go left at
the bottom of the ramp, and stay on Branch Ave. After just about a
mile you'll pass the Stop and Shop on your right and go over the
overpass for I-95; at the traffic light after that turn right onto
North Main St.
At the third light on Main (the one right past the Whole Foods
shopping center on the left) turn left onto Olney and head up the
hill. Stay on Olney through the intersection with Hope St.; the
meeting house is one block past that at the corner of Morris Ave.
