Celebration of Life and Reception for Ed Jeske

Hello everyone:

Vivian Squires at the Baker Centre is organizing the food for the
reception which will follow the Celebration of Life for Ed Jeske on
Saturday. The reception will take place at Sir John Franklin High
School following the funeral which is at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon.
The service will also be at Sir John Franklin by webcast. I know that
church members will likely want to attend the service at Northern
United Place, but please tell others that the Sir John Franklin
location will have lots of room and a place to sit down. We expect
that Northern United Place will be very full - and late arrivals may
have to sit in the chapel or Room 205 with only an audio feed. Thus,
Sir John might be a better second choice.

Some people have been asking Marg Henderson about donations of food
for the reception. Following is the response Marg received from Vivian
Squires.

Hi Marg:

Thanks Marg, sure appreciate this, any donations of squares or cookies
already on plates to be served would be gladly received, we are not
doing sandwiches or fruit, we have no facilities at Sir John to tray
items, so we are asking that everything be brought already to serve.

The main entrance (Atrium) at Sir John is where the reception will be,
the gym will have 700 chairs set up with a live feed from the United
Church to the gym for the service , as the church capacity is around
300 then Sir John will be used for overflow. We tried to get Mildred
Hall gym for the overflow but it was already booked.

I will be at Sir John at 1:00pm  on Saturday to receive any items.

 If anyone can help with the clean up after the reception would be
greatly appreciated, I have the legion ladies helping in serving with
a few others.
