I believe the limit is like 100/day? Is this per user? or is it overall?

Hi Andrew,

The default limit is 100 requests/day per API key - APIv1 and APIv2 keys
have separate limits.  You can submit a request for additional access by
filling out the form at:
http://www.yelp.com/developers/getting_started/api_access
