Everyday we keep hearing that even after the villagers in Noida and
Noida extension, have been promised extra, exorbitant compensation and
other perquisites, they keep on asking for more and keep threatening
of challenging the courts' verdicts. This is a mockery of High Court
and its writ. It seems that villagers are getting greedier as all
their demands are being met through courts. This is just the opposite
of Natural justice under which the buyers and builders, who have
already spent so much money for their homes are being left behind.
Nobody is thinking about lakhs of people who have invested their hard
earned money in genuine property deals and have taken loans to get
their dream homes. If this blackmail by farmers keeps on going, then
one day, the farmers will dictate terms to Courts and Governments. The
best option would be to bring these people to their senses by stopping
all sale purchase of land in the notified areas from now on. Once they
will be left with their land and no bargaining power, they will
automatically have to sober down their demands and come to talks. The
same plan which Mayawati adopted in case of Aligarh farmers, should be
adopted with noida farmers.

Truly said tattu dudu....Sardar Patel had integrated all princely and
small states to create Indian Republic and Congress in its petty
politics is dis-integrating India into smaller states.

Dear Amit,

Without contradicting your views... I just want to add a counter view. Think of yourself as a farmer who genuinely doesn't want to sell his land, notwithstanding the price offered. Now imagine the state forcefully acquiring your land and suddenly out of no where you are left alone... feeling helpless and neglected. What would you do?

I agree that a large chunk of farmers filling cases are either politically motivated or natural greed inspires their actions... however, there are those too who are genuinely dissatisfied and aggrieved with forceful acquisition of their land. I am not blaming the current authority officials for using Section 17 for land acquisition, as that has been the way its been done for the last 36 years in this area... that said... forceful acquisition is wrong. It is completely and utterly unjustified.

I am not a farmer... but... even I cant imagine that my house in the city be forcefully taken at rock bottom prices by the government. If anyone of us were to suffer the same situation that farmers are today... we too will be fighting tooth and nail and using all means and mediums to protect our interest. If we wont be wrong in protecting our interest... how can farmers be wrong for protecting their interest? At lest some farmers have genuine grievances and they for sure are not wrong. Think for one moment... wont we all been more happy had the authority acquired the land using the correct method, thus rendering the entire land acquisition safe? Had the right procedures used, we wont be here discussing the issue.

For whatsoever reasons, we, the allottee and buyers at Sector 18 & Sector 20 at Yamuna Expressway have got involved in this unpleasant and unwarranted situation. We are forced to fight for our rights, just as farmers are now forced to seek their interest. But, always remember... please do... farmers are not our enemies... the are citizens of this country as are we and enjoy equal rights... they are not fighting against us... they are fighting the system. On the other hand... the authority too is not our enemy... they merely followed the system set by earlier governments of last 36 years... lead by all major political parties in this part of the world.

Therefore, I humbly request everyone to kindly think before expressing their views. There maybe many farmers in this forum who may get hurt with harshly presented views. Please present your views... no one is stopping you and no one can stop you... but with dignity and respect towards fellow citizens.

Remember we are not fighting each other... we are fighting the system. A system which was neither set buy us... nor set by farmers.

Hope, my suggestions are taken positively and constructively.

Regards,

Safal Suri

Its all time and fate, farmers are more aware of their rights, media
makes a lot of fuss and the politics. Unlike farmers from the times
just after independence in Delhi and other places whose land was
acquired literally at peanuts compared to the hefty compensation given
and claimed these days. Maybe its good, maybe bad. Its like truth
changes overtime and so does the criteria for justice.

Hi

Although Amits views are not wrong, Safal represented the holistic view of the situation.
Safal has a good command over words as well as have a have clear thinking & broad view.

The situation we all are facing today is the result of failure of judiciary system as well as the outcome of failure of political parties.
