Europeans at the IGF 2011 in Nairobi // pre-conference?

Dear all,

I have been a silent follower of this mailing list so far. My name is Max, I am a team member of the European Youth Press, based in Berlin, and have been intensively involved in Internet Governance issues in Europe during the last two years. This year I have co-organised the New Media Summer School prior to EuroDIG in Belgrade (www.web-of-tomorrow.eu/about).

I am writing to you now, because Peter Matjasic, the President of the European Youth Forum, my Swiss colleague Nasma Dasser from the Swiss National Youth Council, and myself will attend the IGF in Nairobi next week and will of course also join the youth-related workshops there, the Dynamic Coalition etc.

I look forward to meeting hopefully many of you in Nairobi and get in touch! The Youth Forum and the Youth Press will gladly support the youth coalition in the future. YEU - Youth for Exchange and Understanding, European Youth Press, AEGEE and the Young European Federalists are currently also planning the next New Media Summer School prior to EuroDIG 2012 in Stockholm.

Maybe someone of you can help me with one question: There will be a full-day pre-conference "IGF Youth and ICT" in Nairobi. Does anyone of you have any info on that? Who the organisers are and what is going to happen there?

I will chair the Dynamic Coalition session today at 11 o'clock and you are of course welcome there as to any other youth-related workshop. Please don't hesitate to contact and ask questions. :)

Personally, I still have no idea what that IGH Youth and ICT was about and who organised it.
