Hi,

I've successfully made a bootable clone of one of my disks, and
xxclone did a great
job, nicely done. I noticed that encrypted files and alternate data
streams are copied
correctly.

But, access control lists (file security) weren't copied. This makes
the clone essentially
useless, since access to user profile folders is messed up, and access
by "foreign accounts"
(this is a dual-boot system) is not preserved either. I read that this
is being addressed, so
when that's done, the product should be a good tool for e.g. replacing
disk drives on a Windows
system. Till then, though, I can't use it.

It also doesn't appear to use the Volume Shadow Copy service, which
seems odd. Am
I understanding that correctly? Using a shadow copy as the basis of
the backup isn't
terribly hard, and it vastly improves the quality of the backup.

Regards
Brian
