Driving shapes with ICE particle ID's

Anyone know if it's possible to drive an objects shapes with particle ID's in ICE? I have everything setup and I'm setting a custom attribute, I just can't seem to find any sort of interface to work with non-ICE and non-render tree objects.

Basically I'm trying to set this up the same way you would control textures in a render tree with the attribute_integer node.
