It seems that there is a problem with the UV to Location node on curvelist in 2012. We will need to investigate this problem for sure.

In the mean time, there is maybe a workaround. Please copy this compound : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5533643/Softimage/Compounds/Create%20Strands%20From%20GuideCurves.1.2.xsicompound
in your user or workgroup folder. It should fix the problem.

I did my quick test using “Create Strands From GuideCurves.1.1” so I did a minor increment to “Create Strands From GuideCurves.1.2”. If you already did some versioning on your side, please update this one accordingly.

Basically, I just replaced the UV to Location node by a modulo trick to separate point position from strand positions. It looks like it works fine on my machine but it needs some beta testing now ;).

Let me know how it goes.
