(Hi, I apologyze to create another thread. I can´t access the original group thread in google groups. I sign in with yahoo account to create and read the list, but google groups doesn´t sign me in if it´s not a gmail account). On with the inquiry:
I have been trying to setup the emit from polygon cluster with instanced particles, and it works, but particles are emmited from 0,0,0 position of the geometry. Even though my geometry it´s placed somewhere else in the scene.
I´m using the align particle to surface in the case of emit from geometry. And it´s all ok. But what I´m after it´s the setup to have 1 particle in 1 polygon on the emission.
On a second scenario, how possible would it be to create a 3 x 3 point emit on each polygon? Please help.
not sure how its set up, but ice assesses most vectors in local space.
multiply them by the global transform matrix to offset them correctly.
i kind of with there was just a checkbox per compound or node that
disables/ enables global transform.

for your second scenario - if I understand what you mean by 3x3 point emit on each polygon, you can do this by feeding polygonpositions, edgeposition and pointpositions from the emitting geometry (you can get each with an add data) to add points node.
this will generate particles on the center of polygons, vertices and on the midpoints of edges, which on a quad results in 3x3 particles.
