Subject: can we get something similar for our community?

Hello Softimage users and Softimage devs,

I would like to start the discussion on something I stumbled upon today.
Do you think it would be a benefit to have something similar for our
community like they have for the other products?

What do you think? And why do I still have the feeling that Softimage is
left behind in the Autodesk family?

Regards
Vladimir

I remember that max feat. request pool spawned after outrage at cgtalk forums, seems more and more people realised that max is more or less dead project

I ve a tiny one that s softimage related.

Proper OpenGL Display of Textures for those lovely
mudbox_u1_v1.format > mudbox_un_vn.format type of
file textures who mostly are lying outside the 0-1 UV range...

It is boring enough to shift each and every of those
around in the image node by going the reverse direction,
e.g. u2_v1 needs to have a UV Remap of -1 0 and so on.

It is an amazing fun to do that blind and more than once a year.

Cheers,

tim

P.S: That said, Softimage saves me a lot of time I can spend with
Mudbox hitting Ctrl-Z... Maya would request to reserve that time
for itself and then some more to make it Pro...

Warming this up...
Still no "softimagefeedback.autodesk.com" site.
Wait for it, or stick to this good old mailinglist with our concerns? Or
facebook?
Best,
Eugen
