Hello. Anyone had had experience installing Deadline for softimage?
i´ve followed this:

And I still can´t get the dialogue up on the Render module> Render>Send to Deadline after setting up
preferences for Python on softimage 2012. I believe Python is already installed on softimage 2012, because
I see the option "python" from the scripts preferences.

Hence, I opened up a script dialogue in python, and dragged and dropped the .py script that comes for installing
on (applications)/softimage/application/plugins

I restart softimage, but still I don´t see the dialogue.
If anyone could lend me a hand with this, I´d appreciate it a lot.
Thanks.

Hey David,

I never had any problems with installing deadline since 2011...
Python is inside SI already so no need to install anything else Python related.
One and only thing needed is to copy SubmitXSIToDeadline.py into your Softimage/Application/Plugins folder and that is it.
Absolutely nothing else needed.
See if that works

Did you try installing the submitter plug via Deadline Monitor?

You should try it with Script/Install Integrated Submission Scripts tool, and select your Softimage

You can find it on Deadline Monior

Daniel, Paul, Mirko, thank you very much for your help.
You guys aren´t going to believe this: I turned off the machine, kicking the bucket for the night...
I came to work this morning, and voilá: The first thing the Deadline monitor did, was ignite itself at windows
start and I saw the glory of distributive render. hahha. So now it works.

Any tips for a N00b on distributive rendering? :)

Thanks.
David R.

Glad to see it working finally! :)

On distributive you mean rendering 1 image over deadline right?
If so what render engine are you using

That's great :) I guess some module needed to restart computer :P
Tips for distribute rendering, all I can say is you should just send jobs to Deadline as much as you can :)
