I'm emitting 1 particle from a null and having a strand trail coming from it. However there seems to be a gap between the particle and the beginning of the strand. Any way to fix this? I'm using the "Create Strands" node and have tried upping the num segments but it's still there.

Really? I tought this was not possible, do you see the gap in the viewport or at rendertime?

Then this should be a particle or first strand size problem, you can check the values to see if it's not set to zero.

Move your strand compound before the sim node, or after it. I'm not sitting in front of soft ...

I think it was just a matter of not having enough strand segments. I rebuilt it and is working now. The create strands is plugged into the execute on emit port of the emit from null node.
