hello list,

I just found out about a really special feature I didn't know about and wanted to share with everybody! There is a really handy way of showing arbitrary colors on a polygon mesh in the viewport, without having to create a vertex property.

- Create an object
- Create an icetree on it
- Connect a setData Node with "self.Color" as attribute
- Open the object's material and type "Color" (without the quotes :) ) in the "Vertex Color Display Property", under the OpenGL Display Tab

cheers
vladimir

Sweet. This will be very handy for quick debugging. Nice find!

awesome :) save messing around with extra color at vertex or weight map baggage, heres a cheap compound I made that works well with this feature, I'm calling it fake SSS, but really it isnt.

demo jpg and ICE compound attached
