Just a quick note, I am a guest speaker on the Autodesk blockbuster tour, along with Alex Kim from ILM and Ian Failes from Rising Sun Pictures.
I have a very short 20 minute guest spot, but will be talking about how I am pushing our company to a Softimage pipeline.
Everyone else talks about Maya, and they even demo Maya features on the day.
I have modified my brief talk to include some very quick ICE demos to hopefully get my point across!
Would be great to meet any folk who are coming along. We are at the Sydney Shangri La hotel, I think it starts at 2pm
Pretty sure some of the Animal Logic guys would be keen - I know Simon would from there - hope he sees this on the list - will forward it to him in case.

Might be Worth contacting Damien Gascoigne from UTS if you are looking to attract representatives from Education. Let me know offline if you want an email.
As mentioned, I'm sure Animal Logic would love to attend...loads of them are on this list...

Sorry folks, it was out of my control as I was recently added as a guest speaker. I am really trying to push Soft as a major component of the Ecs, instead of the low profile it seems to occupy right now.
My vibe from within Autodesk is they take it very seriously as a product, I just think it needs re-invigorating in the wider community.
In my opinion Ice is a great opening to push with, as a great rival to the big push to Houdini for effects work.
But if we get uptake due to that, then people will get to see all the original features and remember why it was such a great app.
I am in no way associated with Autodesk and have no real agenda to push, I just think Soft deserves so much more attention and I really want to do my bit.

totally agree! softimage is an amazing product and ICE is truly
revolutionary. I would love to see Softimage pushed more on the Autodesk
marketing stratergy
