"XOBDO Prescribed" Words / "'শব্দ' মনোনীত" শব্দ:
Theses words are exception to XOBDO.ORG'S stated policy of including
words that states as follows:
QUOTE
XOBDO does not want to follow any specific dictionary or any
glossary/word-list published by any authority or entity; neither it
accepts opinions of any expert. Rather, it considers the present-day
meaning to be the standard as it is evidenced in ‘contemporary use’
i.e.
i) Appear in renowned newspapers, magazines or the writings of well
known authors and journalists
ii) Extensively used (spoken or written) in special fields or areas
like judicial courts, govt. offices, religious institutes, traditional
functions etc.
UNQUOTE
The "XOBDO Prescribed" / "শব্দ মনোনীত" words are ...
1) coined by XOBDO's volunteers, OR
2) chosen to be the best fit word for a given meaning (IdeaID)
with documented discussions.
These may not be popularly accepted at the time of defining or
assigning them. However, every effort will be made to popularize the
word among general public.
The purpose of designating certain words as "XOBDO Prescribed" is to
create accurate and uniform terminology to avoid any ambiguity.
