using XMPP?  If that's all you want to do, I wouldn't use XMPP.  I'd personally go check the Dropbox or Box forums and skip XMPP.  Even if this was being done inside an XMPP application, I may still be inclined to skip the XMPP protocols.   Then you don't have to be running an XMPP Client on your desktop.

Thank You so much for your reply. I want to do this through client(IPHONE) only. I don't want to install any application on server. My concern is to send files in shared drive of pc from iphone. I tried to use nsnetservices api to consume smb protocol but it is not working for me in this case. I thought may be I have any alternate like XMPP to achieve this through smb protocol. Other option is to open TCP socket to transfer file stream on to the pc but I could not find help in this regard too. I appreciate, If someone could redirect me to the related resources. Thanks
