Collaboration on Unlisted shared maps

I have created a map and shared it with unlisted privacy. I sent the
link to a colleague. Can he now modify that map or does he have to
save a new version.

Not knowing how to update it, he simply downloaded it, modified it and
sent me the .xmind file via email. Now, I have opened it and see his
changes. I want to apply additional changes and would prefer to save
it over top of the one I originally uploaded. However, it seems each
time I save it, it creates an entire new version.

Is there a better way for collaborating? Am I missing something?

currently, it seems the only way to collaborate. As I know, xmind will have a new feature to remember change history.
