Fox Media and Sime Darby's damaged reputation
I have to agree with brother Rocky, read this.
I was told that Fox Media which has collected millions from Sime Darby Berhad by just managing the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) launching ceremonies and doing nothing else is being paid a retainer of RM250,000 a month. As far as I know, no company in Malaysia has paid or is paying that much of money to any PR company.
Brenden Pereira whom we know built a career in journalism by plagiarising articles of famous writers, is laughing all the way to the bank. If you don't know what I am talking about, read this and this. Anyway, he and his good friend Kalimullah Masheerul Hassan are also responsible for the dwindling circulation of the New Straits Times. I was told that the NST's circulation is now 90,000. When Kalimullah took over in 2004, NST was selling 140,000 copies.
Sime Darby is paying Fox Media RM0.25 million a month, but it is certainly doing a lousy job in undoing the damage done to Sime Darby's reputation after the IJN and KLIA@EAST issues.
To me, Sime Darby has been reduced to a pariah corporation.
