newbie question - mousemove

Hi people,

I'm completely new to xdotool but i really like the functionality ( at least how it is described :) I just can't get it to work.

On the homepage they give this example:

$ xdotool search "Mozilla Firefox" windowactivate --sync key --clearmodifiers ctrl+l

But this is whats echo'd back to me:

Defaulting to search window name, class, and classname

getmouselocation works fine. but any commands that needs to set mouse input or keyboard input fails.

Sorry if this isnt the right place, but just dont know where to ask elsewhere
