Dodgy scart connection

Hi,

Got a TV that if I plug the digitial tv receiver into the scart socket
the TV auto switches to the correct channel (AV).

Do the same with xbox leads/scart connection and nada, nothing. Even
manually switching TV to AV fails and it returns to current channel
almost immediatly.

Huh? Im assuming the "switch on" circuit bit is missing from the scart
but what can I do about this?

Hi,

Most SCART leads from consoles use component cables plugged into a
SCART adaptor, meaning they won't auto-switch to AV when turned on.

Try using a different adaptor or if your TV has component inputs use
those instead. Something definately sounds wrong if manually switching
your TV to AV doesn't work, try a friends cable if another adaptor
doesn't work or call MS and see if you can complain your way to a new
SCART lead (usually works).
