Compilation issues in Ubuntu 12.04

I am trying to build the binaries of version 3.4 and have been running
into issues. I run the configure script and it tells me I lack the
drivers it requires, which where GSL and NASM. I installed NASM which
was one, then I built GSL 1.9 (latest version) from the command line.

what is xaos' limitation?

can anyone tell me why it becomes impossible to zoom after a certain point and everything goes "corrupt"? the processor isn't necessarily under load, the ram isn't full, so why is there such a limitation? also how hard do you think it could be to give the program multicore support or gpu support?... more »

Hello world, I have some saved fractals I would like to access, yet
when I do I get this error.

I have been using Xaos for two whole days! I have had a great time.
I have been saving the configurations and the images I liked. The
images wind up on my desktop, because that's where I sent them, but
where is the record of my configurations? I am working fast and not

I was using Xaos just fine until a couple months ago. One day when I
tried to run the program, it quit unexpectedly. I tried several times

Hi
Is there any possibility to render fractal, save it to the file
(as .png) and quit app. I need to generate bunch of julias on specific
seeds.
XaoS on 3.5 on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.10 as well.

I installed Xaos to my computer running Mandriva 2010.2. It works well
but I can't find the option for custom formula. The Windows version
has that option and it works...
