Hi folks,

I have a pretty big collection of small demos of a wide variety of
wxPython features that I've developed over the years:

https://github.com/PythonCHB/wxPythonDemos

These are all the result of either:

My experimenting with a feature in a small, self-contained example

or

My working with an example someone posted on this list -- trying out
various ways to fix the issue the poster was having, etc.

I tried to give credit where credit is due -- sorry if I missed someone.

It is unorganized, poorly documented, and, having built up over the
years (decades!) full of old style code, code that won't run on
current versions of wx, etc.

All that being said, there is good stuff there, so I figured I'd put
it out there.

I probably should have added this to an existing repository, maybe
Mike Driscoll's, or the wxPython wiki, or....but as I've had this
kicking around on an internal repository for over ten! years, I
figured better to do what's easy, and firing up a gitHub project is
really easy.

Contributions, patches, comments, etc are welcome -- we could turn
this into a really nice resource.

https://github.com/PythonCHB/wxPythonDemos

Enjoy!
-Chris

Thank you for making this available!

Cheers,

you're welcome -- I"ve been meaning to for years.

Again -- there is a lot of old and crufty code in there -- pull
requests accepted and encouraged!

My repo of wxPython examples has some crusty stuff too. One of these days, I plan to go through that stuff and update it a bit.

Thanks for making your demos available too. I've been meaning to take a look at your widget for some time, but never had a use for it. At least now I can see some examples!

there are so many things I want to do "one of these days" !

Actually, there may be a bit of confusion -- These are all Demos of
various wxPython widgets, features, etc...nothing to do with anything
I've written particularly.

You may be thinking of FloatCanvas -- there are a bunch of demos of
that in the wx SVN:

http://svn.wxwidgets.org/svn/wx/wxPython/3rdParty/FloatCanvas/Demos/

Maybe I should put all that up in gitHub, too...

Oops. I saw your name and how you said you'd "developed" the features, I just thought you were referring to your widget. Silly me. Next time I'll click the link and read the code!
