DatePickerCtrl does not work with locale

It seems DatePickerCtrl not feel that the local set.
In my case, if imposed on the local LANGUAGE_ENGLISH_US
calendar is set to Italian.
It works if I use instead GenericDatePickerCtrl but in my grid I want to continue using the
DatePickerCtrl for custom cell editor.

Any ideas or workaround?

You need to save a reference to the locale, otherwise it is reset to the
previous locale when this variable is deleted.

I set self.loc instead loc but does not work.I did not understand what the problem.

Opened a ticket 5 years ago: Ticket #2494 (DatePickerCtrl doesn't obey Locale)

In the meantime the bug has been fixed ?

If the ticket is still open then probably not.
