Thanks for the input, both of you.  I've inherited this setup from
someone else, and I was hoping to avoid rebuilding Python.  Our Python
needs X11 and needs to be built with tkinter support on X11, which
Python.org doesn't provide for Python 2.7.  The Python that I
inherited is built with X11 tkinter, but not built Framework.  Can you
build a Framework Python with X11 tkinter?

I'll look into the wxGTK thing more, it might be worth the effort to
see if I can get it working.
