I figured this would be a good place to see if anyone would like to
help port a newly released open source wxPython app to Mac. (We
currently support Windows/Linux).

This looks like a really nice program. Unfortunately, I just don't have a use for it, and thus no motivation to work on teh Mac port. However, I'm sure I, an others here will be glad to help out with specific issues.
I see a very pessimistic comment on that issue -- it's just pain wrong. The OS-X port of wxPython is robust and full featured. I use it all the time, and have ported a couple significant apps to it that were originally developed with no OS-X testing -- with few problems. The most work was putting in the Mac-specific stuff. See:
That being said -- you just can't do it without a Mac (though some folks have had success with a "hackintosh"...), so I hope you find an interested developer.
Also, sometime wx apps are written in a somewhat no-standard way that works OK on some platforms, but not others, so there can be tricky issues. Custom rendering comes to mind for that.
Good luck,
-Chris
