.. At this Time ..
NWS doppler radar shows a rapidly developing area of showers and
thunderstorms in the metro Richmond area, primarily along and south
of an east-west line through the city of Richmond. These storms are
moving to the east and will impact eastern Henrico and southeastern
Hanover Counties over the next hour.
.. Through the Afternoon ..
Additional strong to marginally severe storms are possible across the
entire Wakefield County Warning Area this afternoon into this evening.
Any storms that do develop will be capable of producing locally heavy
rain, small hail, and gusty winds.
.. Spotter Activation Outlook ..
SKYWARN Spotter activation is not expected at this time. As always,
Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather meeting the
established reporting criteria.
.. Communications Team Action Message ..
Ham radio net activation is not expected at this time. Net Controllers
are encouraged to monitor designated frequencies for any stray reports
that might be called in by Spotters via amateur radio.
