Thanks for pointing this out! Interestingly (for me anyway) is that a
quick look on Windows with Spy++ indicates that it uses wxWebView for
the sign in page.

Nice, I didn't know this. Perhaps this might finally convince people that
2.9 is indeed good enough for the production use (does anybody have any
idea about how many copies of this application are/will soon be installed
worldwide?).

I'll mention this on the news page, can't resist the temptation to update
twice in a single day, this has probably never happened before during >15
years of this page existence :-)

Awesome, congratulations Steve, I bet that feels good getting that
kind of appreciation for your work!

I guess Google actually does put some effort into making use of the
work they paid for in GSoC besides just encouraging students to get
involved with open source. :)

The fact that Google uses wx-2.9.x might finally convince wxWidgets
people that 2.9.x is indeed good enough so that (finally) wxWidgets-3.0
can be released. :-)
