Any wxWidgets-like multiplatform video file format library?

By "wxWidgets-like", I mean designed with the same spirit (ie: using native APIs on each platform, such as QTKit on OSX or the Windows Media stuff on Windows).
One of my apps would need to both read and write video files, and I'd like to use OS native APIs...
By "multiplatform", I mean at least OSX and Windows. I also plan Linux, but AFAIK there's no "native video I/O API" on Linux, so it would mean using the most popular thirdparty library on Linux.
If you know of any video I/O like this, please tell.
