 Gregory, Mark,

I am not sure whether ACM or some of the systems staff would be interested in the described event (see below).  I am just forwarding the message.

Hi,

My name is Emily Skopic and I work for Sim Ops Studios, a Pittsburgh
start up that has been developing a web-based 3D game engine called Wild
Pockets.  It has many features including - individual or simultaneous
collaborative development, integrated physics and user generated
scripting, art and sound libraries.  We have recently launched Wild
Pockets into beta and as part of our beta launch, we are hosting a
series of 24 hour Game Jams throughout the country.  I wanted to invite
your students to participate in this free event!  Would you please send
an announcement to all of your CS students and any gaming or CS related
clubs at IUP?  Would you also be able to put this on any appropriate
calendar of events?

I have attached an event write-up and e-mail that you can use part or
all of when sending information to your students.  I have also included
links below to view/print event flyers.  We are trying to get students
excited about the event, so please provide any kind of feedback to me,
as well as other outlets we should be publicizing the event.   If you
would like more information on the event, please view our website at
www.wildpockets.com/gamejam or contact me directly.

Another interesting opportunity for your students is that we are also
taking on unpaid game creator/tester interns.  We are taking on both
remote and on-site interns.  If anyone is interested in building and
testing games as part of a CS internship, please have them contact me
for more information about those they can feel free to call or e-mail me
directly.
