Hello!

I use the WMR200, wview 5.19.0 and Centos 5.7. For several days I see
strange temperature readings. Wview not logged temperature is below
-10 C (example www.kscnet.ru/webusers/dvm/tm/temper.JPG). But the
console detects temperature below -10 C (-11-15 etc). How do I fix it?

Best regards,
Dima

Check your batteries? Both on your display console and your sensors

Hello!

Problem is still not solved. The new lithium batteries are
everywhere.
I tried to use other software (Weather Station Data Logger) and it
correctly shows the temperature below -10 C.
But wview not logged temperature below -10 C.

Hi,
have you solved the problem ?
My WMR200 behaves same way - console shows correct temperature (e.g.
-20C in the morning, -16C afternoon, etc..), but wview graphs and
temperature are fixed at -10C whole day .. Strange...

Any ideas ?

mjenks figured this one out recently -- it's not a problem with the temperature sensor
or batteries...  It turns out that the dewpoint on the wmrusb's goes crazy and this causes
a sanity check in wmrusbprotocol.c to fail, which in turn causes the packet to be discarded
resulting in the temperature to appear to "flat-line" until the *dewpoint* comes back to a sane
value.  It turns out the dewpoint reported by the station isn't used (wview calculates dewpoint
from temp and rh) so it's safe to just drop the sanity check and ignore the bad dewpoint data.

patch here: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/wview/4Vrz59Y7GaE

I rebuilt wviewd_wmrusb from source and been running it for a couple of weeks, including a couple
of nights when the temp dropped below 13F when I would have seen the problem and temperature
graphs looked perfect -- patch is working for me.

Hi lmgray,

thank you. this patch works!
Now wview shows the temperature lower: -10 degrees.
But, now there are new strange data. Several times per day there are
pikes of temperature up to 52 C degrees (www.kscnet.ru/webusers/dvm/tm/
temp.JPG and www.kscnet.ru/webusers/dvm/tm/01.JPG), accompanied by the
sharp change of humidity and pressure. At the console all data is
correct.
info from wview-archive.sdb

Also there are other inexplicable incorrect data,as for ex., very high
values of guest wind, the value is always the same, 76-77 km/h
www.kscnet.ru/webusers/dvm/tm/wind.JPG (these problems existed before
using patch and remain now).

During more than a month I used Wx Data logger (for Windows) for data
aquisition and there were no cases with incorrect temperature measure.
To connect console and computer I use the same usb cable.

any ideas????
