how to modify NOAA reports?

Hello guys!
I happily use great wview but I need a little improvement...
Every month I must export data for our company - very similar to NOAA
month report - but with some other day-average values...
What would be the best(!easiest!) way to get this?
Is it possible to somehow modify source code of noaa part of wview or
it would be better to make script(python,pysqlite) which will access
sdb database and do this report? What would be the simplest method?

Definitely a post-processing script - I have used php extensively for
the wviewmgmt site with good results.
