Hello Wview people,

Can anyone give me some help troubleshooting my wview start problem? All was working well until I had to shut down the machine for some electrical works. Now when wview tries to start I get this

Apr 11 12:46:16 loststation radmrouted[4535]: <1365680776900> : radQueueSend: write failed on fd 8: Broken pipe
Apr 11 12:46:16 loststation radmrouted[4535]: <1365680776900> : SendToClient: wviewd: radProcessQueueSend failed!
Apr 11 12:46:16 loststation radmrouted[4535]: <1365680776900> : QueueMsgHandler: wviewd: SendToClient failed!

Here's a bit more context.

The various searches I've done suggest that the radQueueSend failure is a memory problem but I can't find any evidence of that in any other logs and no sign of magic number problems

root@loststation:/var/log# egrep "magic number" *

That would have picked up today's post boot messages, syslog and the wview.log which goes back to before the shut down.

One thing I also noticed is that whenever I do a "service wview stop" the wview.pid file gets left behind in /var/lib/wview and has to be deleted manually.

I've enabled logging on all services in the management portal. Any ideas where I should look next.

Oh, this is a buffalo linkstation running Debian Squeeze btw which has been running happily since Christmas when I installed wview. There's plenty of disk space remaining and top suggests that memory and cpu capacity is ok

After reinstalling wview with a cleardata and rebooting everything it looks like the problem is here.

Apr 13 17:46:18 loststation wviewd[22442]: <1365871578467> : Starting station interface: WH1080
Apr 13 17:46:18 loststation wviewd[22442]: <1365871578471> : wviewd: recv sig 11: shutting down!

Any ideas anyone?
