As some of you have noticed Barry is no longer with CKND. He has been
replaced with "younger" talent. I for one, think Barry Burns is sorely
missed on CKND News. This is a definite shame. A newsman or newswoman
that has some "seniority" is there for a reason; you know they have
seen it all before and have the experience to convey current events
without struggling over sentence structure and pronunciation. Now,
don't get me wrong, everybody has to start somewhere to pay their
dues...  That's why God invented MTN.

I think of Barry like Winnipeg's, Dan Rather. This is a man you can
trust. Let's do our part and let CKND know that they have made a
mistake!

BRING BACK BARRY BURNS!!!

Phone CKND at 233-3304 or fax them at 233-5615 and let them know how
you feel.

(In case you think I'm biased, I also think Janis Mackey does a great
job! She's a real pro.)

I am in complete agreement with mvsmith. The way Barry Burns was ousted
from CKND sucks. Stan and Barry had a great rapport on the 10:30 news, and
he should not have been fired. I can't stand watching the Romper Room news
hour, so I don't! Way to go CKND.
