What is the status of the WPF Themes project on codeplex with the release of .NET 4. Did any of that actually make it into the framework?

Did you mean this list (or WPF Insiders?)

Thanks,

I'm not aware of any of it moving into the framework proper.  AFAIK they still don't support any of the new 4.0 controls.  The built-in themes still don't use VSM either.

Last time I checked, the codeplex themes were pretty buggy.  Most of the ItemsControls actually define the panel inline (instead of using an ItemsPresenter), several of the controls have state transition issues for some of the VSM states.   I blogged some of the fixes a while back, although I found more after that.  To me, they are good for a reference when added to the themes shipped with Blend, but for production apps they need some work.  Perhaps someone "in the know" can give an update as to their status and future..

Which are you referring to here? Do you have a link?
I'm familiar with the Silverlight themes, but did not realize there were WPF themes there too

I'm referring to the system themes in in $(ProgramFiles)\Microsoft Expression\Blend 4\SystemThemes.  It has both WPF and Silverlight there which is nice.  Also, there is the SimpleStyle theme in AppThemes which is a nice simple set of templates.

One interesting thing about the CodePlex themes is I've seen two vendors now that *sell* themes which are clearly just color changes off the codeplex versions.  They have the same exact bugs.. I was quite surprised but in retrospect I suppose I shouldn't have been.  Since they are in the wpf.codeplex.com area I think people assume they are "best guidance" examples which is unfortunate.

I have updated the codeplex once (wpfthemes.codeplex.com) to .NET 4
(Do not confuse with wpf.codeplex.com)
