It’s too beautiful not to share with you guys. A good friend of mine, very talented logo and icons designers, did this for the MVVM Light toolkit.

By the way, he loves doing this kind of things, so if you are looking for someone really creative, professional, friendly and (as a side bonus) who likes to experiment with WPF and Silverlight too, you should contact him (He also has a cool Silverlight intro on his site ;))  http://info.philippe-schutz.com/

More about the logo and its meaning: http://blog.galasoft.ch/archive/2009/11/07/mvvm-light-toolkit-logo-by-p.-schutz.aspx

I gotta say that logo is _very_ slick! It'd be cool to see on some box art. You know, with a bright orange starburst, "100% OFF"! Now that you got a logo out of the way, how bout a theme song?

That is an awesome business card on his site.

I used to be able to do some really crazy tweens in Flash. For those that can be bothered have a look at this one, just download the attached and open the S16_Launcher.html file and follow your nose

Its a flash site for a techno record label I used to run, ah those were the days

Yeah Philippe is very talented, and what i like a lot is that he is a designer who does code. He totally digs WPF and SL. The card on his site is SL.

Believe it or not, he did the logo in about 3 days, and it's not like he has nothing else to do! This includes the logo black and in white, and two sets of icons (with and without text). That guy rocks. He is Swiss by the way.

Sacha using to run a techno record, wow that's something :) love these blasts from the past. As for me i was totally (and still am) into hard rock, heavy metal and metal, with some excursions into punk rock, etc... the difference with now is that back then, i had a bad ass leather jacket with one of these patched jeans jacket on top. And yeah it had chains and nails LOL these were the days...

Cheers,
Laurent

yeah I used to run a HARD techno label

Here are some links

And check out the price of one of them 79 euros for 1 peice of Vinyl with 4 tracks on it.

Not bad eh. I have a box full of them somewhere, I have like 3000 records, so I wont find them any time soon.

I also did stuff by myself under the name Dr Machette

All good stuff

Whoa, nice Sacha. I can see your style in that. Way cool.

You inspired me to go an hunt through my old flash stuff.
I found something I did about 11 years ago. It’s one of those flash
clips that we all learned to hate. But, I thought I’d share it anyway
for laughs. Boy, times have changed.

Hehe, I'm not sure whether the old-school Wumpscut soundtrack sent the right message ;)
But compared to the sins of my youth (read: Photoshop filter excesses), this is top notch. If I still had this stuff, it would make your eyes bleed ;)

Thanks Philipp, seems like a lifetime ago when I did that.
Wow, I'm impressed that you knew the track! I used to dig that
industrial stuff. You're right, probably not the best message! lol
