I am hopeful the wp-hackers community can help me. My Google searches have not proven successful, I suspect because I don't know how to phrase what I am looking for.
My daughter's soccer team has a WordPress powered site and they are going to have a bake sale to raise money for a trip. There is a list of items that people can sign up to be responsible for (cookies, cakes, napkins, cups, etc.). The number of items can have a minimum of maximum and they don't want to duplicate sign ups. The woman coordinating this is trying to do it via e-mail and it is a mess already and has only been active for an hour or so.
Does anyone know of a plugin that might help this situation? I don't think it would be too hard to write but I don't want to do it if has already been done.

This certainly looks like the general idea - I'd love it if it were a WP plugin so it cold be part of our site. I am little wary about spreading the stuff across multiple sites as we already have a Google Group and a web site, both of which are under utilized by the majority of the parents.

You could create a spreadsheet in Google Docs and then use the form features to create the signup page.
